1.   Apologies for absence.

2.   Minutes from previous meeting assumed approved if no objections raised. (8pm for points 1 and 2 – 5 mins)

3.   Committee roles explained. (8.05pm 30 mins)
There are nine roles in the cabinet committee they are: Children’s Services, Corporate Services, Environmental, Communities, Leisure and Tourism, Performance and Governance, Regeneration, Health & Social Care, Technical Services. Are these appropriate for our committee? Why? Alternative suggestions. Agree roles. Agree responsibilities for each role. Reaching out strategies.

4.   Nominations for each committee role and vote. (8.35pm 5 mins)

5.   Meeting dates for committee discussed. (8.40pm 5 mins)

6.   Plan of action for going forward. (8.45pm 10 mins)
Information gathering and do we write a formal complaint to the council about the lack of proper public consultation, complain to the ombudsman or attempt judicial review?

7.   Quick outline of plan for public meeting with Margaret Carney. (8.55pm 5 mins)
Stewards/security. Distribution of agenda and submitted questions.

8.   Loose plan for a future public Meeting with Council Leaders. (9.00pm  10 mins)
Question time with the leaders of each political party – thoughts.

9.   Demonstration representation at Full Council meeting on 17/2/11 in Bootle Town Hall. (9.10pm 5 mins)
Who wants to attend and who is going to be responsible if an official SACC delegation attends.

10.                Any other business. (9.15pm)

2.    Opening Speech from the Chair  8.01pm  (4 mins)
      A brief speech outlining the purpose of the meeting and why SACC       have called it.

3.             Opening Speech from Ms Carney 8.05pm (5 mins)
A brief factual overview from Ms Carney, Sefton Council’s Chief Executive.

4.       Submitted Questions from the floor 8.10pm (60 mins)

Questions that have been submitted will be read from the floor and answered by Ms Carney there will be a right to reply but no shouting out.  Please be respectful and polite.

5.       Open Questions from the floor 9.10pm (20 mins)

The floor will be opened up to questions arising from the meeting or from those who didn’t manage to submit a question in advance. Please be respectful and polite.
