BBC Documentary.

We have received an e-mail from a BBC Current Affairs journalist who is working with the Nick Robinson (the BBC's Political Editor) on a BBC2 series about taxes and public spending. She is interested in talking to us about our group, our aims and the issues in our area.

She says:

"Our aim is to make an engaging, authoritative series which gives our audiences the bigger picture - the context to the day-to-day debate about tax and public spending.
The films will examine who benefits the most and the least from government spending, and who pays what in taxes. We will be looking at the history of public spending and taxation and will place the current decisions that are being made in that wider context. We will also be looking at key facts and figures to endeavour to solve common questions and clear up some confusion."

I'll speak more about this at Monday's meeting.
